Thomasina Rogers designated as Vice-Chair of the Council of the
Administrative Conference of the United States

Thomasina Rogers, chairman of the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission, has been designated by President Obama as vice-chair of the Administrative Conference of the United States (ACUS).   ACUS is an independent federal agency charged with improving the administrative process through consensus-driven applied research, providing nonpartisan expert advice and recommendations for improvement of federal agency procedures.  She fills the position previously held by Preeta Bensal, the former General Counsel and Senior Policy Advisor for the Office of Management and Budget.  As vice-chair of ACUS’s 11-member governing council, Rogers will assume the responsibilities of the ACUS chair during his absence, incapacity or when the office is vacant.

Rogers was the last Chairman to head the agency before its funding was terminated in 1995.  Its funding was subsequently restored in 2009. .
